As well as relationships that put her marriage at risk, with her endless expenses she begins to destroy all the material and spiritual value of her husband. Madame Bovary's life story in which she hides her spirit hunger with panache went down literature history as an important work that started realism in novel.
The novel which is questioning new values of 19th century, realism in literature and the sacred instutions such as marriage created an impression when it published. In its publishing date 1857 the novel was seen contrarian to moral values, today it has become a classical by increasing its value.
